According to an arrest warrant affidavit, a man named Abey Belette Girma admitted to a co-worker that he killed two people.
The co-worker called police to tell them what Girma said.
According to the affidavit, Girma killed Lemma Yayehyirad and Desta Yenenesh because “they had disrespected him.”
Girma told his friend he followed the couple from their Ethiopian restaurant on north Greenville Avenue Wednesday night to their home in the 5700 block of Marquita Street.
The affidavit says Girma confronted Yayehyirad on the porch, and the restaurant owner “continued to disrespect him” so he shot him.
Girma then shot his wife Yenenesh before driving away. Girma also allegedly showed the pistol used in the murders to his friend.
Dallas police expect to book Girma on felony capital murder charges today.
This is the thing about Ethiopians. Some donot even know that boycotting is something everybody participates in by their freewill. We Ethiopians are forgeting this thing called freewill exists anymore even those of us residing in USA.Noone should feel disrespected because others are not with the boycott against buying foodstuff exported from Ethiopia or noone can force any Ethiopian to join the boycott . If people want to continue buying foodstuff exported from Ethiopia it is their right. All the rest boycott supporters should do is stop spending their money at their restaurant.Violence should not be an option.
