In line with the endeavors being made to raise the capacity of teachers, a total of 284 of those accomplishing duty in remote areas of nomadic pattern of living graduated from Asmara Community College of Education with Certificate.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Semere Russom, Minister of Education, explained that the Ministry is exerting necessary endeavors towards promoting educational outreach in remote areas through raising the capacity of teachers and organizing training courses. He also explained that the graduating batch would ease the scarcity of teachers in the mother tongue. Moreover, there exist a plan to upgrade teachers who scored higher mark to Diploma level, the Minister added.
Mr. Alem Gebrekal, Director of the College, on his part expressed conviction that the graduates would make due contribution in the teaching-learning process.
